The Port of Corpus Christi, in partnership with NuStar, will hold the annual “A Tree for All” donation event to help families in need celebrate the holiday season with their loved ones.
Through the regional spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent economic downturn, the Port of Corpus Christi remains committed to its community and therefore will not alter plans to open its biannual call for sponsorship applications from Coastal Bend nonprofit organizations.
The Port of Corpus Christi continued its support this week for American military readiness, working directly with the U.S. Army in the movement of over 2,500 pieces of cargo. The operation supported the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, which has returned stateside following a nine-month deployment in Germany.
The Port of Corpus Christi has allocated a $200,000 grant to LiftFund, a nonprofit community lender, to provide COVID-19 relief loans to eligible small businesses in Nueces and San Patricio counties.
The funds will be used to administer the small business recovery program and provide relief small business loans at 0 percent interest.
The Port of Corpus Christi will host a virtual discussion on “Managing the Critical Importance of Energy in America in a COVID-19 World,” from 9:00 – 11:00 AM EST on May 13, 2020, in partnership with leading trade associations – American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM), the Natural Gas Supply Association (NGSA) and ClearPath.
The Port of Corpus Christi Authority’s newest Commissioner was sworn in on Tuesday, February 18, 2020. Nueces County Judge Barbara Canales administered the Oath of Office.
