The Port of Corpus Christi Authority Job Shadowing Program is a short-term immersive experience designed to introduce community members, students, and aspiring maritime professionals to careers at the Port of Corpus Christi and in the maritime industry at large.
Participants will gain hands-on exposure, insight into daily operations, and mentorship opportunities at the Port of Corpus Christi Authority (PCCA), the Energy Port of the Americas and a major employer in the Coastal Bend.

Program Objectives
- Provide exposure to the wide array of careers available at the Port of Corpus Christi
- Foster mentorship opportunities between PCCA professionals and program participants
- Enhance participants’ understanding of the Port’s SEAPORT Values and organizational culture
- Build a pipeline of diverse and exceptional talent
- Develop, grow and inspire future maritime leaders and professionals, who can serve as Coastal Bend PCCA Ambassadors
- Strengthen workforce development in our local communities
Community Partners

Community Partner Role
- Help identify and recruit potential participants
- Promote the program through your networks
- Collaborate on mentorship and career readiness events
- Support long-term career development in the maritime sector
- Support participant outreach and referrals
- Share feedback and help us grow the program
- Strengthen ties between young professionals and the maritime industry
- Advocacy: participants in the job shadowing program will serve as Coastal Bend PCCA Ambassadors
