The Port of Corpus Christi is deeply dedicated to enhancing the well-being of our local community through support for various programs, initiatives and activities. In compliance with the Texas Water Code, the Port of Corpus Christi Commissioners have adopted the Promotion and Development Fund Policy, which is externally known as Community Funding. This policy serves as our guiding framework for the judicious allocation and effective utilization of community funding resources.
Promotion & Development Funding Budget
Port Commissioners establish Promotion & Development Funding each calendar year and grants the CEO, and their designee, to oversee this budget.
Applications for all 2025 community funding requests are to be submitted during the annual call-out period.

Review Process
All applications undergo a thorough evaluation and are subsequently considered by PCCA executive staff. All applicants will be notified of community funding decision via email.
In order to ensure compliance with our funding principles and policies, we have identified the following groups and individuals as ineligible for funding:
- Entities not in good standing with the Texas Secretary of State, Texas Comptroller, or Internal Revenue Service;
- For‐profit entities;
- Labor or religious organizations;
- Groups that discriminate on the basis of age, race, sex, sexual orientation or national origin;
- Political action committees or candidates; or
- Individuals
