Press Release – Port Corpus Christi Supports Hands-on Learning for Adopted School Family Math Night Eggs-travaganza!

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX, USA – Corpus Christi ISD Menger Elementary is hosting its Family Math Night ‘Eggs’travaganza on April 4th from 6 – 8 PM. For part of the celebration students and their families will hunt for filled eggs, count and graph their findings, and create math problems. Port Corpus Christi has donated 2,000 candy filled Easter eggs in support of the event.
The Menger Family Math Night ‘Eggs’travaganza helps promote community and parental involvement for students while incorporating math skills into fun hands-on learning opportunities. One of the main math concepts for this event will focus on analyzing mathematical relationships to connect and communicate mathematical ideas – a state standard.
Menger Elementary is one of Port Corpus Christi’s adopted schools. Annually and throughout the school year, port employees donate school supplies, clothing, and their time in support of our adopted schools. Port Corpus Christi believes in fueling the future of our community.
