Nov 29, 2017

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX, USA – Port Corpus Christi is proud to present the 20th annual “A Tree for All.”  Port Corpus Christi employees are partnering up with representatives from NuStar Energy and The Home Depot in providing 200 trees, tree stands, and ornaments to deserving area families.  The event takes place Thursday, November 30, 2017, 5:30 PM at The Home Depot, 5401 South Padre Island Drive.

Port Corpus Christi employees are continuing the tradition of helping to spread holiday cheer throughout our community.  Community organizations choose area families to receive fresh cut live trees and all the trimmings.  Families are selected by Big Brothers/Big Sisters; Communities in Schools; Evans Elementary; Menger Elementary; Tuloso-Midway Primary; Mission 911; Nueces County Community Action Agency; and Robstown ISD Migrant Program.

“Port Corpus Christi not only brings regional economic development to Corpus Christi it also brings joy and strengthens our community through actions of Christmas spirit by handing out Christmas trees and providing the help people may need in our community. Port Corpus Christi cares about our community.  Thank you Port Corpus Christi,” said Tony Reyes, Founder of Mission911.

“Each year it is such a joy seeing the smiles from children and families receiving trees with all the trimmings for their holiday,” said John LaRue, Port Corpus Christi Executive Director.  “Port Corpus Christi, NuStar, and Home Depot employees all share in the excitement of volunteering in preparing for and participating in this event.”
