Press Release: Port Corpus Christi Employees Lead the Way in Supplying New Mission 911 Pantry

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX, USA – Port Corpus Christi devotes itself to the Coastal Bend community as a leader in procuring business, and in sharing its abundant good fortune with organizations that serve deserving community members. On Tuesday, December 12 at 3 p.m., Mission 911 will dedicate its food pantry in honor of the Port Corpus Christi Authority. The Port Corpus Christi Authority is a longtime supporter of Mission 911, an organization with a mission of serving our community by braking the bondage of homelessness.

As part of an employee led initiative Port Corpus Christi staff have collected food to donate in supplying the Mission 911 food pantry for the past month. As part of Tuesday’s ceremony Port employees will present the donations on this remarkable day. Mission 911 is a 501c3 nonprofit faith based organization led by Executive Director, Tony Reyes.

“What a blessing it is to have Port Corpus Christi in our community. They have given support to organizations like ourselves who help people in need and strengthen their economic growth. We are honored to recognize John LaRue and his team at Port Corpus Christi for their efforts of helping others in our community. This plaque will be a constant reminder of how the Port gives hope and empowers citizens of our community,” said Tony Reyes, Founder, Mission 911.

“Port Corpus Christi employees devote time to numerous community organizations and worthy causes throughout the year,” said John LaRue, Port Corpus Christi Executive Director. “The holiday season affords us a special time to focus even more on giving back. Mission 911 serves our community with a valuable resource, and we are proud to take part its mission.”
