Port of Corpus Christi makes Call for Sponsorships for 2020
Oct 15, 2019
Corpus Christi, TX, USA – The Port of Corpus Christi is continuing its commitment to nonprofit organizations in the Coastal Bend by opening the application period for those seeking event sponsorships.
The Port sponsors a number of events every year, which helps different organizations in the area fund their missions to provide valuable services or assistance to those in need. Social responsibility is at the core of the Port of Corpus Christi’s commitment to the community and providing funds for event sponsorships is a way for the Port to reinvest in our community by keeping those dollars local.
Interested organizations can now apply for a sponsorship for events occurring between January 1 through June 30, 2020. That application period will run from October 15 – November 30, 2019. The Port opens two defined application periods annually for the first and second halves of a year, which is designed to give stakeholders a clear process to follow and help in their planning.
It also allows the Port to evaluate where its funding will have the greatest impact in the community in which we live and work. Another application period will run from April 1-30, 2020 for events scheduled to occur in the latter half of that year (July 1 – December 31, 2020).
“The economic growth that our region is experiencing is unprecedented, but it’s important that we do everything in our power to give back to benefit our fellow citizens here in the Coastal Bend,” said Charles W. Zahn Jr., Port of Corpus Christi Commission Chairman. “With the Port of Corpus Christi’s sponsorship program, we can partner with a number of organizations so that everyone in our community has an opportunity to succeed and thrive.”
Organizations looking to apply for a sponsorship from the Port of Corpus Christi can view program guidelines at www.portofcc.com/community/call-for-sponsorships.
