Amanda Torres, a proud Corpus Christi native, has built a distinguished career rooted in service and excellence. After earning her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University–College Station and her Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s University School of Law, Amanda returned home to begin her career as an Assistant District Attorney. Her commitment to justice led to her appointment—and subsequent election—as Nueces County Justice of the Peace for Precinct 1, Place 1. She later served as Judge of Nueces County Court at Law Number 5 before rejoining Branscomb Law’s litigation group, where she now serves as President and a member of the Board of Directors. These roles honed her ability to evaluate complex issues and deliver balanced, well-reasoned decisions.
An accomplished litigator, Amanda represents individuals and businesses in complex commercial and civil litigation, with a primary focus on business and fiduciary litigation. Her leadership and expertise have earned her recognition, including the Texas Super Lawyers Rising Star designation, the Texas Young Lawyers Association President’s Award of Merit and Co-Outstanding New Director of the Year Award and the Corpus Christi 40 Under 40 award.
Amanda’s dedication to service extends beyond the courtroom. She has held leadership roles with numerous organizations, including the Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority, Corpus Christi United Chamber of Commerce, Texas Young Lawyers Association, Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse and the Corpus Christi Bar Association. In these roles, she contributed to governance, policy development and strategic planning. These experiences have shaped her ability to guide organizations through complex decisions with clarity and foresight.
Above all, Amanda values family and community. She and her husband are raising two daughters and are proud to call the Coastal Bend their home.
