The Port of Corpus Christi manages supply chain needs through our expanding dock and laydown yard facilities, whether by vessel, railroad, chassis or truck.

Five multi-purpose cargo docks are available for loading and unloading all your breakbulk cargo, including wind turbine components, steel pipe, flat steel, containers, Ro/Ro cargo, super-sacks, heavy lift and project cargo. For weather-sensitive cargoes, a 48-foot-wide canopy over double rail tracks provides an ideal transfer solution.

The Northside of the ship channel includes over 120 acres of open storage area that can be used for marshaling, storage and fabrication, and 122,000 sq ft of covered storage. A seven-acre surfaced storage pad is located adjacent to Docks 9 and 10 and the Ro/Ro ramp. Additional storage, staging, and rail capabilities are accessible at Al Speight Rail Yard on the Port of Corpus Christi (PCCA)’s Southside Terminal.

With drafts ranging from 34 ft to 45 ft, PCCA cargo docks also feature direct access to three Class I railroads (BNSF, CPKC and UP) via the Texas Coastal Bend Railroad operated by Watco and direct access to major State and Interstate Highways for uncongested road transport.

The Port of Corpus Christi has storage capacity on both the Southside and Northside of the Inner Harbor. The Southside has 173,000 sq ft of covered storage and a 76-acre open storage yard; the Northside includes over 120 acres of open storage that can be used for marshaling, storage and fabrication and 122,000 sq ft of covered storage.

In Q4 2023, the installation and commissioning of a Liebherr LHM 550 mobile harbor crane located at Cargo Dock 8 was completed; in 2019, a Liebherr LPS 550 rail-mounted crane was purchased for use at Bulk Dock 1. Both cranes provide unique versatility and flexibility in handling breakbulk, dry bulk and containerized cargo.
